ArcStation is a solderless optical drive emulator (ODE) for all PlayStation 1 models. It replaces the original CD-ROM drive with SD-card loading, while keeping the console experience as close to stock as possible with the ability to easily revert the modification.

Preorder Pricing
ArcStation is currently available for preorder at a reduced price. The earlier you preorder, the lower the price:
- First 100 units: €130 – sold out
- Next 200 units: €140 – current preorder price
- Remaining preorder units: €145
- Regular in-stock price: €150
Preorder pricing is offered as a thank-you to early buyers who reserve their unit before general availability and wait for the first production batch to ship. Early preorders also help fund the first production batch and make the launch of ArcStation possible.
Each pricing tier remains available until its allocated number of units is sold. Once a tier is filled, the next preorder price automatically applies.
Preorder Terms
This item is offered as a preorder. By placing a preorder, you reserve a unit before it is available for immediate shipment.
The first production batch will be placed with the manufacturer once enough preorders have been collected. Shipping will begin as soon as that batch is manufactured and ready.
Orders will be fulfilled in the order they are received, so earlier preorders will be shipped first.
To provide a clear limit for the preorder period, the shipping deadline is the end of September 2026. If your order has not been shipped by then, you may cancel it and receive a full refund.
Preorders are charged immediately. You’ll receive a confirmation email right away and an update when your unit is ready to ship.
By completing a preorder, you acknowledge and accept these terms.
Highlights
-
Solderless installation
Installs without soldering. Replaces the original CD-ROM drive and connects using a small set of cables.
-
SD-card game library
Copy disc images to the SD card and keep games organized in folders and subfolders.
-
Virtual Memory Card (VMC) (not available on PSone)
Each game gets its own memory card file on the SD card, so saves don’t compete for space.
-
Reset to menu via gamepad (not available on PSone)
Return to the ArcStation menu with a controller button combo (controller in port 1).
-
Multidisc support
Build a disc queue before launching a game and switch discs during gameplay using the ArcStation button and LED display.
-
No modchip required
ArcStation emulates the original CD-ROM drive behavior, so no modchip is needed — games with modchip detection boot as if the console were unmodified.
Compatibility & Requirements
-
Console support: PlayStation 1 “fat” models and PSone
(Some features are unavailable on PSone due to missing connectors without soldering.)
-
Disc image format: CUE/BIN, ISO, and single BIN
-
SD card: 1 GB or larger, formatted as FAT32 or exFAT
For best performance, use a low-latency card. A1/A2 cards are recommended.
